Calcium Rich, Low Sugar Yogurt Parfait

Greek yogurt is an excellent source of calcium (187 mg per cup), which can help improve bone health. It also contains probiotics, which support a healthy bacterial balance in the gut.   Don’t buy those sugar laden fruit yogurts…they either contain way too much sugar or that awful artificial stuff.   Plain yogurt contains about 7 grams of sugar compared to a low-fat, strawberry on the bottom versions that contains 22 grams (BTW women should only be getting 25 grams of sugar per day!)

Here is how you make a calcium rich, low sugar yogurt parfait.

Ingredients

  • Greek Yogurt (full fat is OK)
  • Frozen or Fresh Berries
  • Granola or Ezekiel cereal (look for lower sugar versions or just use nuts)
  • Nuts
  • Cinnamon

Mix all together and enjoy!
